Batuhan Mumcu was born in Erzincan in 1983 and graduated from Near East University with a degree in Public Relations. He completed a master's and PhD in Political Science, focusing on the protection of cultural heritage. He has held various governmental positions and published works on cultural heritage. In 2023, he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism. He also represents Turkey in TURKSOY and serves on the Board of Trustees at the Yunus Emre Foundation.
