On behalf of Mehmet Cengiz, Cengiz Holding donated $5 million to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) for the citizens who suffered from the forest fires in Turkey and the floods that significantly affected the Western Black Sea region.
According to a statement released by Cengiz Holding, AFAD, to which the Holding donated USD 5 million, has been responding to disasters such as major earthquakes, fires and floods in Turkey with many volunteers since its establishment in 2009, and has been healing the wounds of disaster victims with its post-earthquake recovery efforts.
It was reported that Cengiz Holding will continue to support the people of the regions affected by fire and flood disasters and the works to be carried out for the rehabilitation of these regions.
